Australian GP: Piastri tops FP2 from Antonelli and Russell

McLaren charger Oscar Piastri thrilled his home crowd in Melbourne on Friday afternoon by setting the pace in Free Practice 2 at Albert Park Circuit, leading a tightly packed field headed by both Mercedes cars. The Aussie produced the session’s benchmark with a sharp 1m19.729s, snatching top spot just as the qualifying simulations began to bite. The opening phase of the 60-minute workout belonged to an incisive Lewis Hamilton.
