Stuck blames Brawn for Mercedes failures

9 January, 2013 Hans-Joachim Stuck, president of the German motorsport association, has come out in defence of departed Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug and at the same time dished out harsh criticism at the Silver Arrows team principal Ross Brawn. Former F1 driver Stuck told Speedweek, 'Brawn is solely to blame for the failures in F1 [by Mercedes]. The car was just not fast enough. McLaren clearly demonstrated the ability of the Mercedes engine. Even a small team like Force India ran with the Mercedes engines with great success.'
