Lawyers ban Ecclestone from using Twitter

28 January, 2013 Bernie Ecclestone F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone is banned from using Twitter. Former Olympic chief Michael Payne now works as the Ecclestone's special advisor. France's RMC Sport quotes him as saying: 'I suggested to him (Ecclestone) that he should be on Twitter. 'But he told me that his lawyers have forbidden him, fearing a catastrophe,' Payne laughed. Twitter has become a much used tool by drivers and teams to communicate with fans, with the likes of Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button using it regularly while the likes of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel have yet to embrace the concept.
