Supersofts for Australia as Pirelli reveal first 2013 tyre choices
Formula One tyre suppliers Pirelli have announced the tyre compounds that will be used in the opening four rounds of the 2013 FIA Formula One World Championship.In Australia, the medium and supersoft tyres will be available - the first time that Pirelli have nominated the softest compound in their range for Melbourne. The full step between compound choices is intended to ensure a performance gap between the cars that allows strategy to come into play.For Malaysia the two hardest tyres in Pirelli’s range have been selected - medium and hard - to cater for the high temperatures and abrasive surface found at the Sepang circuit.The soft tyre will make its season debut at the Chinese...
