Alguersuari: F1 an auction
Jaime Alguersuari has blasted the 'F1 auction' after failing to secure a spot on the grid for the 2013 Championship. The Spaniard was axed by Toro Rosso at the end of the 2011 season after two-and-a-half years with the side as Red Bull opted for a complete revamp of the driver line-up at their junior team.
Having spent a year on the sidelines, the 22-year-old had hoped to return to the sport this year and in September tweeted that, "Soon you'll all know where I will be driving next year."
However, those plans have not materialised and Alguersuari admits he was convinced he had secured a drive with a regular points-scoring team but feels money has now become a deciding factor. F1...
