Hamilton 'excited' by Friday practice pace

Lewis Hamilton may have ended his second practice session for the Australian Grand Prix in the gravel trap, but the pace his W04 showed before the incident was enough to excite him. The former-McLaren driver was thrilled to see his new team-mate Nico Rosberg toward the top of the times, despite troubles for both of them. "Overall it was a good day, if perhaps not the smoothest," he admitted. "I’m happy with where we are and to see Nico in third place on the timesheets shows that we’re pretty competitive.
