Hulkenberg fails to start due to fuel system problem

Nico Hulkenberg will not start the Australian Grand Prix after a problem with his fuel system ahead of the race. Hulkenberg qualified eleventh on Sunday morning but the team confirmed 30 minutes before the race that he will not be able to take part. "There is a problem with the fuel system [on Hulkenberg's car]," the team confirmed on Twitter. "For safety reasons we will not start with his car." The Australian Grand Prix was supposed to be Hulkenberg's debut for Sauber and he was well placed in eleventh as the first of the drivers not having to start on the tyres he qualified on.
