Force India bemoan lost opportunity
Vijay Mallya believes that Force India possessed the speed to challenge Mercedes at Sepang before their weekend went horribly wrong.
The team suffered a double DNF after both Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta were forced to retire for safety reasons as a result of a wheel nut issue which had plagued them throughout their pitstops.
"It's more than deep disappointment. It's extreme disappointment," team boss Mallya is quoted as saying by Autosport.
"The cars were quick, very competitive: we were racing Mercedes very comfortably, [were] much quicker than the McLarens, quicker than Lotus I would like to believe.
