Sergio Perez has admitted that being able to make his Pirelli tyres last longer than those around him may be his only hope of taking points from the Chinese Grand Prix.The Mexican missed the cut at the end of Q2 on Saturday afternoon in Shanghai, and will start from the outside of row six in his bid to add to the ninth place he took in Malaysia three weeks ago, but he remains optimistic about the McLaren team's ability to bounce back from its poor start to the year.“Of course, I am not happy!” he told the official F1 website, “We should have made it into Q3.
