Schumacher to demonstrate W02 at Nordschleife

By Phillip Horton on Thursday, April 25, 2013 Seven times Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher will drive Mercedes's 2011 car around the Nurburgring Nordschleife on May 19th. Schumacher retired from the sport at the end of 2012 but has taken up an ambassadorial role with the company. The German's run will take place during the build up to this season's Nurburgring 24 hours race. 'I have a lot of fond memories of the Nurburgring and am really looking forward to giving fans and friends from my home town of Kerpen, which is quite close to the Nurburgring, something to remember as they see me drive by,' he said.
