Pirelli: It was our decision

Pirelli's Paul Hembery told Sky Sports News that it was their decision to modify tyres for the Canadian Grand Prix in the interests of the majority of teams.The Italian company announced on Tuesday that it would introduce more durable tyres in time for next month's race in Montreal in response to Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix, which was criticised for its total of 82 pit stops.
