Lotus display strong pace in practice

Lotus F1 is satisfied after the first free practice sessions of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. The team once again showed strong longer run pace. One negative point however was Romain Grosjean who hit the barriers early in FP2 to end his day on track. Kimi Räikkönen completed the first practice sessions for the Monaco Grand Prix with the sixth fastest time of the day, with team-mate Romain Grosjean right behind him in seventh. Kimi set his time on the super soft Pirelli tyre whilst Romain – who was third fastest in the morning – set his time on the soft compound.
