Toro Rosso to use Renault engines from 2014

Carlos Ghosn, chairman and CEO of Renault, confirmed in Monaco on Sunday that Renault will supply V6 turbo engines and energy recovery systems to Toro Rosso from 2014 onwards. The move will bring to a close Toro Rosso’s seven-year engine partnership with Ferrari at the end of this season.“We are very pleased to have reached an agreement to use Renault power units from the 2014 season onwards, when the new regulations will present interesting challenges,” said Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost. “It is particularly important that we have managed to finalize our plans early, so that we can be as well prepared as possible for next year. “While looking forward...
