Kovalainen splits with management company
Heikki Kovalainen has split with his management company, after they failed to help him secure a Formula 1 seat for the 2013 season. The Finn, a one-time race winner with McLaren, left Caterham at the end of last year after he and owner Tony Fernandes couldn't agree a new contract due to a lack of financial backing. He's joined the team in a development role, but he's keen to return to a full-time race seat in 2014, and believes working independently of his management company will give him a better chance at doing so.
