Raikkonen ties with Schumacher's record points streak

Kimi Raikkonen may have dropped a place to third in the championship but he can take some respite in equalling Michael Schumacher’s record points-scoring run at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday. Dogged by issues with his car and a poor pit stop, the Finn finished the race in ninth place and collected two points, equalling the milestone set by the seven-time world champion. Schumacher’s run had started from the Hungarian GP in 2001 and ended in Malaysia two years later, and in that period never finished lower than sixth in any of the races. In Raikkonen’s run, he had finished between seventh and tenth on six occasions, including in Canada.
