Lopez denies Allison departure cause of Lotus slump 11 June, 2013 James Allison with Eric Boullier Lotus team owner Gerard Lopez has scoffed at suggestions the recent departure of highly rated technical director James Allison has caused a performance slump at the Enstone based team. Off the back of a stellar start to the season, Kimi Raikkonen has dropped from second in the world championship to third, following two less impressive outings for the black E21 in Monaco and Canada.
