Morris to swap Sauber for McLaren

Matt Morris has been confirmed as McLaren's new engineering director, barely 24 hours after Sauber announced his exit. It was reported on Thursday that Morris had quit his post as Sauber chief designer with head of concept design Eric Gandelin being named as his replacement. Morris, though, will move to rivals McLaren once he is released from his contract and he will work under technical director Tim Goss at Woking. "Matt Morris will join McLaren Racing as engineering director once his current contractual situation with Sauber is resolved," a McLaren spokesperson is quoted as saying by Autosport.
