Massa blames cold tyres for practice crash

Felipe Massa has blamed cold tyres as the cause of his accident in the early stages of second practice for the British Grand Prix on Friday, with the Ferrari driver one of the first to trial Pirelli's prototype Hard tyre compound on a still damp track surface. The Brazilian, who lost control on the exit of Stowe before spinning back across the circuit and into the barriers, missed out on more than an hour of  track time as a result of the crash, with the afternoon session yielding the only dry running of the day. "I am very disappointed about what happened as the accident cost me valuable time, especially in terms of getting an understanding of tyre behaviour," said Massa....
