Little progress for McLaren duo on Friday

McLaren drivers Jenson Button and Sergio Pérez have admitted that the team is still far from fighting with the front runners after the opening day of practice at Silverstone, with the pair feeling no major improvement over the situation experienced in Montreal. Having failed to record a point for the first time in 64 races at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, McLaren signed off a selection of car upgrades ahead of this weekend's race during a straight line test at Idiada, but neither driver has been overwhelmed.
