Di Resta disqualified, car found underweight by 1.5kg

Paul di Resta was excluded from the qualifying results of the British Grand Prix on Saturday after his Force India was found in breach of regulations. The Scot’s car was found to be underweight during the post-qualifying scrutineering checks conducted by the FIA after which the matter was referred to the stewards. After a lengthy deliberation, it was established that the car breached rules and the driver was demoted from fifth place, from where he had originally qualified, to the back of the grid.
