F1 2013 – Alonso ready to attend Silverstone test
Fernando Alonso who said he was not ready to take part in the Silverstone young driver test after the tyres exploded has said he is now ready to attend should the team call upon him. The test was originally for upcoming young drivers however current race drivers are allowed to take part in this years on safety grounds as the teams and Pirelli continue to work on tyre issues that hampered the British grand prix.Alonso originally said 'It's not a very safe thing racing on the same track with the same tyres. I don't have the feeling [that] I want to go,''I don't intend to go.'But since being informed he could test more than tyres he said: 'When we arrived here on Thursday, the Silverstone test...
