"true">Carlos Sainz Jr. completed his first ever miles in a Formula 1 car on Thursday, having been given the opportunity to drive Toro Rosso's STR8 chassis at Silverstone. The 18-year-old Spaniard, who has been a member of the Red Bull junior team since 2010, took over the cockpit from race driver Daniel Ricciardo in the afternoon, finishing the day second on the combined timesheets and within half a tenth of the Australian.
