Caterham duo pleased with new Pirelli tyres
Both Caterham F1 Drivers sampled the new Pirelli tyres on the final day of the Silverstone Young Driver Test. Giedo van der Garde and Charles Pic completed a total of 125 laps on the new Pirelli rubber and both shared their approval at the changes.
Speaking after his morning run at the wheel of the CT-03, van der Garde said: 'That was a useful morning’s work. 65 laps is quite a bit over a full race distance here and we’ve got through a lot of tyre work so everyone’s pretty pleased with how it went. The runplan meant we were looking at both short and long run tyre performance and we’d targeted about the number of laps we completed, so now we have a lot of new data to work on with...
