Giedo learning 'the hard way'

Giedo van der Garde reckons F1's rookies are learning "the hard way" these days given the lack of testing. Van der Garde is one of five rookies competing in Formula One this season and like his fellow newcomers has yet to get off the mark. And like the other rookies, the Dutchman's arrival into the premier class came without much F1 experience to his name. With a ban on in-season testing, the 28-year-old had just six Friday outings to his name before sharing 12 days of pre-season testing his team-mate Charles Pic.
