Sauber problems no barrier to new Ferrari deal

Ongoing speculation about Sauber's financial position will not prevent the Swiss team from securing a new contract to use Ferrari engines from next season.While rumours regarding the Swiss team's relationship with its new Russian investors were few over the Belgian Grand prix weekend, the position remains far from clear. Suggestions that it had not yet received any investment were flatly denied by Hinwil at the end of F1's summer break and quotes from Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali at Spa suggest that the threat of the Scuderia pulling the plug on its supply of engines – over alleged non-payment – have subsided.“We want to continue to supply our engines to Sauber,”...
