Sauber closing in on Ferrari deal

Sauber team principal Monisha Kaltenborn believes her team will "soon" have a deal in place with Ferrari for next season. Sauber have used Ferrari engines for the past four seasons ever since splitting with BMW at the end of the 2009 Championship. Talks of a continuation, though, were rumoured to be on the line following reports that Sauber were behind in paying Ferrari for this year's engines. However, having secured financial backing from three Russian investors, the negotiations have gathered momentum with Kaltenborn confident that a deal will soon be concluded.
