Jones: Ricciardo capable of winning title

Former World Champion Alan Jones believes that Daniel Ricciardo is capable of becoming Australia's third Formula 1 title winner in coming seasons, having been chosen to partner Sebastian Vettel at the Red Bull team from 2014 onwards. After two campaigns racing for the junior Toro Rosso squad, Ricciardo was confirmed as Mark Webber's replacement on Monday evening, the latter revealing earlier in the year that he is moving to the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Porsche. And Jones, who claimed his sole world title while racing for Williams in 1980, is certain the Perth-born driver has what it takes to reach the Formula 1 summit.
