Gutierrez, Bottas make early exit in qualifying
Esteban Gutierrez and Valtteri Bottas completed differing types of qualifying session for the Italian Grand Prix, but suffered identical fates after failing to make the Q1 cut.Gutierrez bounced in and out of the 'drop zone', but could never quite pull far enough away to avoid being caught beneath the trap door when the chequered flag fell. Bottas, meanwhile, never quite had enough to break out of the bottom six, and the pair will share row eight of the grid for Sunday's race.They will be joined on the sidelines with two phases of qualifying remaining by the Caterham and Marussia drivers, the minnows being unable to perform the sort of miraculous escape that characterised the early part of...
