Bianchi forced to miss second practice

Jules Bianchi will miss second practice for the Japanese Grand Prix, with Marussia uncovering chassis damage that cannot be repaired in time after his FP1 accident. The Frenchman slid into the barriers at Degner 2 in the opening third of the session, causing significant damage to the left-front of his MR02 machine. And, after the damage was assessed, it has been determined that his Friday programme is over. "The spare chassis will be built up in time for Jules to resume running in free practice 3 on Saturday morning," read a Marussia statement ahead of the second session.
