Damaged Ferrari hobbles Alonso's progress

Fernando Alonso says he struggled with the handling of his Ferrari F138 after a couple of first lap incidents at the Indian Grand Prix. Alonso damaged his front wing after making contact with Mark Webber at the first corner and then hit Jenson Button at turn four. Alonso was forced to make an early stop, which compromised his strategy and left him way down the order. He recovered only to 11th, meaning that Alonso recorded his first race finish outside of the points for the first time in three years. 'Obviously it was not a clean start,' Alonso told BBC Sport.
