McLaren to help Perez find new seat

McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh says he is trying to help Sergio Perez find a drive in Formula 1 after dropping him for next season. Perez has criticised McLaren for giving him little time to find a drive after replacing him with Kevin Magnussen. Whitmarsh says he has recommended Perez to Force India and Lotus, who both have seats available for 2014. 'There is no seat closed to him and we can have no accusations we made the decision too late,' Whitmarsh said. 'I am trying to help him [Perez] get a drive.
