No big surprises for Kovalainen on Friday
Heikki Kovalainen says there were no 'big surprises' during his Friday running at the Interlagos circuit. The Finn, who is competing in his second and final race for the Lotus F1 Team this weekend, felt confident with the cars behaviour in the wet conditions.
He completed 31 laps in the first session and set the ninth fastest time. In the afternoon, the 32-year-old moved up to fourth place but only completed 13 laps due to the tricky track conditions.
'Obviously, it was challenging conditions but it was good for me to get the experience in the wet weather,' he said. 'There were no big surprises and the car was behaving quite well. It was a little bit trickier than driving in the dry, but...
