Bahrain confirms 2014 F1 night race

– Bahrain has confirmed the anticipated news that next year's Grand Prix will be staged at night. The Sakhir-based circuit, which is preparing to host its 10th Formula 1 race, has already had floodlights installed, with the units being given their first test at this weekend's World Endurance Championship (WEC) event. "This is by far the biggest development project we have ever undertaken at the BIC since the circuit was first built," said track CEO Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
