Saxo Bank becomes Lotus sponsor, Sørenson confirmation due

Danish investment bank Saxo Bank has become a new sponsor of Lotus F1 Team, paving the way for World Series by Renault driver Marco Sørenson to take up a test driver role with the team in 2014. Lotus has been through the mill over the past twelve months due to great financial uncertainty, but team owner Gerard Lopez confirmed in an interview with AMUS last week that everything was in place for the team to race in 2014. Nevertheless, as part of an effort to bring in some fresh sponsorship, Saxo Bank has joined up with the Enstone-based outfit.
