New Toro Rosso passes FIA crash tests

– Toro Rosso has announced that it has passed the FIA's mandatory crash tests with its new STR9. The Faenza-based outfit, which is fielding Jean-Éric Vergne and rookie Daniil Kvyat this season, will pull the covers off its latest Formula 1 car on the eve of the opening pre-season test at the Circuito de Jerez next Monday. Toro Rosso is the third team to confirm that it has passed the crash tests, after Caterham and Sauber.
