Hamilton's running ended by crash

Lewis Hamilton's running came to a premature end on the opening day of testing as his Mercedes suffered an apparent front wing failure.Having completed 18 laps – comfortably the most of any driver on the opening morning at Jerez – Hamilton hit the barriers at the end of the pit straight, heavily damaging the car. The front wing was left in the middle of the track before the corner and the tyre marks showed the car went straight on under braking.Hamilton emerged from the accident unscathed, but executive director (business) Toto Wolff confirmed to Crash.net that the incident “looks like” bringing and end to the team's running for the day.At the time of the incident, Hamilton was...
