Lotus to launch E22 at start of Bahrain tests
– Lotus will launch its new car at the start of the next pre-season test in Bahrain, GPUpdate.net can confirm. It had been suggested that the E22 chassis, already showcased in the form of a digitial rendered image, would be unveiled to the public on Friday afternoon, but a spokesman for the Enstone-based outfit has denied this. The new design will instead be presented directly before hitting the track at Sakhir, and is set to run throughout both four-day gatherings, which take place from February 19-22 and February 27-March 2 respectively. Lotus was the only team to miss the opening Jerez test, citing additional car development time as the main factor.
