Lauda targeting early reliability for Mercedes 19 February, 2014 Niki Lauda With the advent of the new Formula 1 V6 turbo rules, and all that comes with the package, means that reliability will be vital in the early stage of the 2014 season according to Niki Lauda.
'Reliability is the keyword for the first five, six races,' Mercedes team chairman Lauda is quoted by Osterreich newspaper.
'Who is the best prepared will be furthest ahead,' he predicted. The F1 circus has now moved to the island Kingdom of Bahrain for the second of the three pre-Melbourne tests.
'Jerez was an engine test,' said Lauda. 'Now the real preparation begins.' But he said the pecking order still will not be clear...
