Pirelli expecting two or three stops in Australia

Pirelli's motorsport director Paul Hembery is expecting two or three pit stops per car at this weekend's 2014 season opener in Australia. The Italian firm has created a brand new range of tyre for the new season. Each compound has very similar performance levels in comparison to its 2013 equivalent but with more durability. Pirelli announced after the final pre-season test in Bahrain that it would be taking the white-banded medium and the yellow-marked soft compounds to Melbourne. 'This is the most radical rules shake-up of the modern Formula One era, so we’ve had to create a completely different set of tyres for the brand new dynamics presented by the 2014 cars,' said Hembery....
