Kobayashi escapes penalty over Massa clash
– Kamui Kobayashi will not be penalised for colliding with Felipe Massa on the opening lap of the Australian Grand Prix, with it becoming clear that the Japanese driver suffered a "serious technical failure". The Caterham driver rear-ended his Williams rival on the run down to the first corner in Melbourne, ending their respective races on the spot. But after post-race investigations confirmed that Kobayashi suffered a brake failure, the stewards decided to take no further action. "The stewards determine that the incident was caused by a serious technical failure completely outside the control of the driver," read a report by the panel, including ex-Formula 1...
