Lotus insist struggling E22 has 'huge potential'

Lotus are confident that when they've ironed out the E22's problems, it will be a front-running car capable of fighting at the top. It hasn't yet shown much potential after qualifying in 21st and 22nd in Melbourne and then suffering a double-retirement during the race, but Lotus blame that on a lack of running, not a badly designed chassis. "We know that there is good potential with the E22 and we need to get the whole package operating properly," said technical director Nick Chester.
