Maldonado: Good to have reliable car

Pastor Maldonado relished the laps covered in Bahrain on Friday, conceding that the only issue was his own mistake. After a trying beginning to the season in which one or both E22s have suffered problems in Friday practices, Lotus had a relatively smooth start in Bahrain. Maldonado and his team-mate Romain Grosjean amassed 55 laps in FP1 before adding another 47 to their tally on Friday night. In fact, the only big issue Maldonado experienced was his own doing. Running wide in FP2 under the lights at the Sakhir circuit, he hit a kerb and was launched into the air. The flight - and the landing - caused some damage to his E22, however, Lotus were able to make quick repairs and send him back...
