Hamilton tops testing for Mercedes

Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton ensured that Mercedes departed Bahrain comfortably on top after setting the fastest time on the second and final day of testing. Hamilton, who won the race in Bahrain last weekend, set a time of 1:34.136 in the morning session to spend much of the day with a healthy gap to his rivals. Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne set the second quickest time late on, while Kevin Magnussen was third for McLaren despite a mechanical failure resulting in an off for the Danish driver.
