Shanghai Qualifying: Hamilton is the main man in the rain
Lewis Hamilton Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was in a class of his own at a wet and miserable Shanghai International Circuit, as he powered to pole position for the Chinese Grand Prix – his third top spot start of four so far this season – in a session which he dominated.
Next best was Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo who was half a second down on Hamilton's top time. The Australian will start from the front row, and ahead of quadruple world champion teammate Sebastian Vettel who was third fastest.
