Vergne hit with grid penalty for unsafe release
Jean-Eric Vergne has been handed a 10-place grid penalty after his car lost a wheel during second practice for the Spanish Grand Prix.
The Toro Rosso team were also fined 30,000 (£24,500) for the incident, which saw the Frenchman's right-rear wheel come off at the first corner towards the end of the session.
A statement released by the stewards said: 'This is regarded as a serious offence and the stewards are of the opinion that this was a significant breach of the safety requirements.
