Alonso to wave starters flag at Le Mans

– Two-time F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso will wave the official starting flag at the Le Mans 24 Hours next month, it has been confirmed.Alonso has been invited by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest as 'a leading representative of Ferrari'."I am very happy to have been chosen to start this race, because it is one of a handful of races that has defined the history of motor sport," he told the Scuderia's official website.Alonso also added that he is looking forward to catching up with former Red Bull driver Mark Webber, who is now racing in sportscars with Porsche: "For sure, it will be nice to see Mark Webber, who is a great friend of mine.
