Leimer – Pirelli test an “absolutely fantastic experience”
2013 GP2 champion Fabio Leimer has described his day of testing around the Paul Ricard circuit at the wheel of the 2012 Lotus F1 car as an “absolutely fantastic experience.” Leimer, who is currently racing in the World Endurance Championship with Rebellion, completed 78 laps – 300km – of the French Paul Ricard circuit in the Lotus E20 on Tuesday as a prize from official F1 tyre supplier Pirelli for winning the 2013 GP2 series.
The Swiss racer last tested Formula One machinery at the Abu Dhabi Young Driver Test in 2011 for Sauber.
