Maldonado excluded from qualifying for fuel breach
Pastor Maldonado has been excluded from qualifying for the British Grand Prix, owing to a technical infringement. Maldonado, who had originally qualified 15th, has been disqualified after the FIA race stewards failed to secure a sample of fuel from the Venezuelan’s car during post qualifying scrutineering.
“Car 13 [Maldonado] is excluded from the results of qualifying,” reads a statement from the FIA. “There was insufficient amount of fuel to provide a 1.0 ltd fuel sample and therefore this is in breach of the… FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.”
