Heavy Raikkonen crash halts British GP

A heavy crash for Kimi Raikkonen on the opening lap of the race has caused a red flag in the British Grand Prix. Raikkonen ran wide at Aintree at the start of the race and attempted to rejoin at racing speed but was launched slightly off the lip between grass and track and lost control, hitting the barrier on the Wellington Straight at high speed. With the Ferrari bouncing back across the track, Felipe Massa was unsighted behind Kamui Kobayashi's Caterham and tried to pitch his Williams in to a spin to avoid contact but hit Raikkonen with his left rear wheel.
