Rosberg signs new Mercedes multi-year deal

Championship leader Nico Rosberg has signed a new contract with the team. Mercedes announced Wednesday that the 29-year-old German, who has been at the team since 2010, agreed to the 'multi-year' deal ahead of his home Grand Prix on Sunday. Rosberg has a four-point lead over Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship, with half of his six victories for the team coming this season. Rosberg says 'it has been a difficult road to get to where we are now, but everybody kept believing and, thanks to the fantastic support from Mercedes-Benz, we are now leading the way in F1.'
